Toronto-based musician Paul James has been a successful rock
& roll, blues artist and music producer for close to five decades. A
well-recognized and awarded musician, James has won a JUNO,
The Maple Blues Lifetime Achievement Award for Blues Music in
Canada, the London Fire Hall Lifetime Achievement Award and
multiple Toronto Independent Music Awards. Considered a
trailblazer on the independent music scene in Canada, James
produced his first vinyl 45 with his own label, Lick’n’Stick in 1973,
with many indie artists having followed in his footsteps since.
James is a multi-talented artist, songwriter, vocalist and guitarist
and has performed across Canada with music greats such as Jeff Healey and Bob Dylan.
